Biden warns Trump is planning to steal the 2026 midterms, and the evidence is already piling up. In a rare public appearance Friday in South Carolina, the 83-year-old former president accused Trump of building barriers to voting because he knows he can’t win fairly. Biden declared the country is living through “dark days” and said the fight for America’s soul is far from over.

Trump publicly declared on Truth Social that there “will be Voter I.D. for the Midterm Elections, whether approved by Congress or not”, openly promising to bypass Congress through executive order. Legal scholars say this is flatly unconstitutional, and a federal judge already permanently blocked his last attempt to rewrite election rules unilaterally.

The SAVE Act, which passed the House, would require documents like passports or birth certificates just to register to vote, in a country where fewer than half of citizens even have a valid passport.

Democrats are also sounding alarms that Trump could deploy ICE agents and National Guard troops to polling places in November.

All of this while 61% of Americans disapprove of his presidency. He can’t win on the merits, so he’s rigging the game.
